I am working on this and on bivariate analysis . The two pages both make an error that univariate analysis can only be descriptive. A one sample t-test is inferential statistics on one variable. So is a one-way chi-square test. PeterLFlomPhD (talk) 22:45, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Univariate analysis uses one DEPENDENT variable. There can in fact be several independent variables. Multivariate means using more than one dependent variable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.151.24.71 (talk) 10:36, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
