Finland Basic income trial, 2017 - 2018

[edit]

The trial as started was 2 years from Jan 2017 to Dec 2018 and is going ahead as planned until last payments in December 2018.

Results will be out late 2019 or early 2020 after follow up of participants and controls after the trial.

The trial duration was 2 years and not 3 as in Wikipedia page.

There was no early termination or lack of funds as the fake media has spread around the world from many news reports with just a couple that had the official Kela information. This repeated error is so prevalent because someone first made it and no one bothered to even check if there were English sources to check against. I have tried to indicate to the news sources they have an error but correcting old news is not often a priority.

There is a mainstream Yle news report of the Kela information as well that confirms the trial was not terminated and other report by the project organiser with further links

Here is a list of news sites that write or imply that the program was underfunded, curtailed or otherwise limited in duration.

Page Merger Needed

[edit]

I believe this page should be scraped and merged into: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_income_around_the_world SimTheWorld (talk) 18:34, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The other article is too long to merge this one into, and doesn't overlap enough. That one's mainly about political debates, and this one is about actual experimentation. -- Beland (talk) 22:46, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
