The article does not address the Wikipedia:College and university article guidelines, specifically how is it "especially notable or significant"; because if it is not, it should not have it's own article. I propose redirecting it to University at Buffalo. Mtking (edits) 00:01, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just look at the alumni list. You'll see that this college is in fact very notable. UB spends about 300 million dollars each year on research alone..and a lot of that research is done through the college of arts and sciences. UB's CAS is extremely notable...and if you don't find it notable, that is merely your opinion. Here is an example (that is very recent) of the college of arts and sciences conducting research:http://www.tgdaily.com/sustainability-features/60277-keep-the-clunker-smart-routes-curb-emissionsDavidhar (talk) 01:00, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is not inherited so the alumni list is of zero help, the article does not mention the College at all so is also of no help. May I say that if you find it notable then that is merely the opinion of a student at the uni. Mtking (edits) 02:16, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a joke or something? The college, MTKing, gets represented by its departments...which are all colloquially represented by its alumni, research, and academic prestige. Alumni, research, and academic prestige make a college notable. And as you can see, there is a substantial amount of notoriety that has come out of UB's College of Arts and Sciences.Because of that, this is a completely notable article. And by the way, you're now arguing over opinions, not facts, which isn't in WP's laws or codes. It is FACT that the CAS is notable. 96.233.74.72 (talk) 17:42, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No it is not, it is not sourced to anything other than it's self, there is no attempt to demonstrate notability other than by association; it is of no Encyclopaedic value as it stands and should be redirected as per the Wikipedia:College and university article guidelines until such time as it can comply. Tell me how UCLA College of Letters and Science, Boston University College of Arts and Sciences, and so many other articles ARE notable and this article is not. You discriminate against me and this university. This is a nationally recognized university, MTKing, and I believe you refuse to think that it is. 96.233.74.72 (talk) 22:50, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is not a reason for this. Mtking (edits) 01:15, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You know what, MTking, this article is COMPLETELY notable and your reasons why it should be deleted are totally BS. I'd like to hear from someone else than you. 96.233.74.72 (talk) 03:20, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

as you wish. Mtking (edits) 04:01, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
