History dissonance

The page lists that the University was founded in 1845 as "Baylor Female College." This isn't true. The school was coeducational until 1851. I don't want to make the change, but it was NOT founded as Baylor Female College... I don't know the name on the original charter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.184.46.14 (talk) 18:03, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Page move

Seems like it should be at it's current name with the older name redirecting there. --Laura Scudder | Talk 28 June 2005 22:14 (UTC)

I've done the move. Talrias (t | e | c) 11:07, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

redirect and sports

I have created a redirect page from UMHB so that searches for UMHB will come to this page automatically.

Dont you think we should have a page on UMHB sports in addition to the school's history? -Thomas Umstattd

Are we serious - suggest deleting this

An annual trip to Independence to see the University's birthplace is among the favorite traditions of UMHB students.

Luci Swindoll

I haven't found any solid references but is it try that Luci Swindoll, sister of Chuck Swindoll and one of the founders of Women of Faith graduated from UMHB? If so I think that's worthy of inclusion. Jdblundell 15:49, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Renound College ?

I grew up in Waco and I would argue that although Mary Hardin Baylor may be a fine school, it is a stretch to say that it is "renound" in any sense. --Bob Bolin

Presidential Connections - suggested deletion; movement

Almost every university, large and small has had someone from a past administration speak, and these examples seem especially weak. President Johnson dedicating a building being the lone exception, but this can be noted elsewhere, no need for a unique section. I've never seen this broken up into a separate section at any university this size or any, even universities with more direct connections. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ASUPhotog (talkcontribs) 04:06, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Alma Mater

I think it would be beneficial to include the words to the Alma Mater and the Fight Song. If only I can find/remember them. Jdblundell 15:49, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

March, 2013 - Liberal Arts School?

As of 2011, only 7% of all students are enrolled in a liberal arts major[1]. Should the school still be considered a "liberal arts" school? PureRED (talk) 01:33, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
