Place management and placemaking

[edit]

URA's role in place management and placemaking involves shaping places and bringing communities together to drive greater interaction and increase vibrancy within precincts[1]. URA, as the development agency for Marina Bay, helps to oversee the place management and maintenance of the waterfront promenade and public open spaces at Marina Bay, and takes the lead in organising events such as the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown and i Light Singapore. As part of its efforts in promoting place partnership, URA has introduced the pilot Business Improvement District programme and various placemaking initiatives to empower the private sector and the community in transforming their precincts and activating public spaces.

  • Reason for the change: To accurately reflect the updates in URA's scope of work, which has expanded in the last few years

Not done. The requested edit is promotional in tone. A previous attempt was made to add this same paragraph to the page before being reverted by another editor. Heartmusic678 (talk) 10:56, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
