I've added a section to link to three saints, who are often confused (perhaps reasonably). I think this makes sense. I'm not sure Valerie is a nickname for Valeria. I reckon it's just an Anglicization of the French spelling. In the case of the saints, the spelling just depends on whether the source is in Latin or a modern vernacular.Sjwells53 (talk) 20:57, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree about the Anglicization of the French spelling. Other thing, In French, the suffix -ie can only be those of a female's name Nortmannus (talk) 18:46, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If I may, I might suggest the spelling could also be "Valeri", which is very close to the Russian spelling "Valery", which is mentioned in the article.
