Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on VenueGen. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Proposal for deletion

[edit]

I see a proposal for deletion of this page failed 9 years ago in 2015. The company now no longer appears to be operating and its website domain is available to purchase. Would this fact, along with the issue tags on the page, support opening a new deletion proposal? Whisky and more (talk) 10:05, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In a word: no. Notability is not temporary, and the subject's disputed notability was argued at AfD through the availability of third-party sources. A topic does not cease to be notable for inclusion in Wikipedia when it ceases to exist. A renewed deletion proposal should have a more convincing policy-based rationale that sufficient non-trivial WP:RS coverage cannot be found to show notability instead. • Gene93k (talk) 11:05, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Gene93k. Appreciate the quick response and context to proposals for deletions. Happy wiki-ing! Whisky and more (talk) 11:09, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
