Here are the issues I found:

• I'd change portfolio to ministry, just to make it easier on readers.
• "he was given the portfolio of Aviation," perhaps change to "given the position of.."
  •  Done. I only found one instance of "portfolio," which I have changed to "ministry". A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 03:26, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
• "Bird's career in the Cabinet was finally ended by scandal in 1990" take out finally.
