From my understanding, "worm tea" and leachate are considered different substances. Worm tea is made from the worm castings soaked in water whereas leachate is what leaks out the bottom of the worm bin. It is a "liquid extract of undigested material [that] may contain pathogens, phytotoxins, and anaerobic microorganisms that can be toxic to plants, humans, and pets." This is per https://content.ces.ncsu.edu/raising-earthworms-successfully However, this source is outdated compared to the 2004 paper that deems "worm tea" and "leachate" synonymous.
