Would request comments from visitors on my articles on 'Kaul' & 'Kashmiri Pandit'.-Ambar (talk) 05:51, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- First step would be to fix the barelinks, per WP:Citing sources. And also the capitalisation, since many words are being unnecessarily capitalised in mid-sentence. - Sitush (talk) 10:17, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Have added more "neutral" content in order to improve the article and get the "neutrality" banner removed. Further comments would be welcome. -Ambar (talk) 17:12, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Could you fix the headings of the sections? WP:MOSHEAD provides guidance but the main issues relating to them in this draft are over-use of capitals and using "&". Again, I could do it for you but you'll not learn much if I do. Also, the template for Kashmiri Krams should really appear at the bottom of the page, unless there is a version that enables you to place it at the right using a vertical format (displays down the page rather than across it). - Sitush (talk) 11:23, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Have made the changes suggested above and also plan to add more content on culture and geographical distribution. Plan to put it up in a week or two. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. 'Ambar (talk) 17:15, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
Review
I'll work my way through this. An obvious initial problem is that the citations are malformed, which is why you are seeing a ">" at the start of some footnotes. A less obvious problem is that of overlinking: we usually link a word etc only on the first occasion that it occurs in an article, and we do not include any previously linked terms in the "See also" section. - Sitush (talk) 13:58, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- More comments:
- There is a lot of unnecessary bolding in this draft. None of it is needed, aside from the WP:MOS-required bolding of the title in the opening sentence.
- Despite your comment in the section above, there is still at least one heading that does not comply with WP:MOSHEAD
- The list of notable Kauls seems at present to breach WP:V and, in some cases, consensus that the living should self-identify their ethnicity. Again, this is an issue that has been raised previously. I am unsure why you have chosen not to address it. - Sitush (talk) 15:22, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking time to leave your comments. I have removed the excessive bolding. I did review the list of notable Kauls again, & have removed Sanjay Kaul as he is the only one alive & I couldn't really find any Self Identification citations for him. For others like Prithvi Nath Bamzai, Jawaharlal Nehru etc would meet the verifiability criteria. I've not bothered to add citations since each of them has a wiki page dedicated to them with several links on those pages. Feel it should be okay, unless you feel that some citations need be added on Kaul page, but that would be mere duplication of effort. -Ambar wiki (talk) 19:01, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- We cannot rely on other wiki articles, therefore citations are required. I'll take another look at the thing tomorrow or over the weekend - I am having a rough week, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 20:26, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, and have added some links to Prithvi Nath Kaul Bamzai & Kailash Nath Kaul. Nehru was already cited. Please review and leave your comments. -Ambar wiki (talk) 11:33, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Kashmiri Pandit Article
Please review the KP article & leave further comments. Since I have two articles running in my sandbox, kindly leave comments for the Kaul article in the "review" section above. Thanks. -Ambar wiki (talk) 15:50, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- Have included some more content and a new section on ancient history. As without that the article seemed to start abruptly in the middle without a mention of how the Hindu or Brahmanical system came into being in Kashmir (mind you, it was not always hindu). The takeover by the Yadhuvanshis (or Yadhu tribe) is marked as the turning point in Kashmir's history. -Ambar wiki (talk) 08:02, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
Kaul article
Have understood a few more points and have imrpoved the article still further. Feel that its beginning to look much better. I also agree that it was still a 'but' the last it was reviewed by user sitush. Hope its getting better and would soon become a grade A article on the wiki. Please continue to edit this as much as possible. -Ambar wiki (talk) 15:43, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
