Sri Lankan visa policy

[edit]

According to the Sri Lankan Electronic Travel Authorization System (ETA) all nationalites are allowed to apply for a visa online prior to arrival to Sri Lanka, therefore the information on Visa policy of Sri Lanka is incorrect and must be corrected. Aquintero, (talk), 25 June, 2013, 10:53 (UTC)

About the duration of stay of eVisa

[edit]

VFS website doesn't give a clear explanation about the definition of the stay limit (aka duration of stay) of eVisa, so I submit a query and get following reply:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for writing to Sri Lanka’s Official eVisa Helpline.

About your enquiry, for double/multiple visa, the XX days stay limit mean you can stay a maximum of XX days in each entry. Thank you!

Best regards,

Wing

Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) Exemptions

[edit]

Certain nationals are exempt from requiring an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) Approval Note to visit Sri Lanka for short-term stays. This exemption applies to visits of up to 30 days. Below are the countries whose citizens can enter Sri Lanka without an ETA:

  • The Republic of Singapore
  • The Republic of Maldives
  • The Republic of Seychelles
  • The Czech Republic

These exemptions make travel to Sri Lanka more convenient for nationals of these countries, streamlining the entry process and eliminating the need for prior visa arrangements. Reference
