Notability

[edit]

Wow, you all are fast! I just started this. I guess maybe I should've worked on it offline more before putting it online, but I wanted to get it online because I believe other folks can help me expand it.

Voice of the Turtle is of significant historical as well as musical significance. I did just add one third party review--a cite to an interview with Wachs. I will add more (but it's bedtime now). If other folks could help, I'd appreciate it.

I really think this is a slam-dunk for notability. Please don't delete it! And if you wouldn't remind removing the tag, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Asbruckman (talk) 03:35, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have declined the speedy and removed the tag for that, you really should read through WP:MUSIC and make sure it's clear in the article that the band meets at least one of those criteria, however. If you need any help, please ask on my talk page. Lankiveil (speak to me) 09:21, 12 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]
I hope the New York Times link helps... Still adding more. Hope we can remove the notability tag soon. Thanks so much! Asbruckman (talk) 12:37, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I think this now meets at least three of the criteria for notability. 1. reviews in NYT and Boston Globe, and an entire scholarly book chapter about them. 5. Six albums on the Titanic label, a prominent indie label for early music, and 7. the most prominent representative of a notable style, Sephardic music. Does that look OK? Can we possibly untag it? Let me know what you think. Thanks so much! Appreciate your help. Asbruckman (talk) 02:41, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seems notable to me. I'm removing the Notability tag. MaxVeers (talk) 16:56, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
