Statement

We the Mundani people, wishing to establish a national identity for ourselves and our posterity and seeking to draw government attention to our plight; check rural exodus, guide and promote the development of Mundani; highlight our common heritage and strengthen our brotherhood; preserve our culture and work for our common welfare; provide a suitable seat for the administration thus ensuring accessibility to common services; contribute positively to nation building and national unity; secure an administrative unit for the Mundani area and jointly develop the land set aside by the traditional councils of Bamumbu, Bechati and Folepi for a Mundani Urban Centre; have this seventh day of the week and the thirty-first day of the month of December in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and eighty-eight commissioned the said land as the common property of the Mundani people by the laying of the Traditional Foundation Stone – Npi’ne.
