Under Construction

[edit]

I am currently working on significantly expanding this article for a graduate course. I would appreciate if no edits would be made until after Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Thank you! Stangs531 (talk) 23:56, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article Review

[edit]

I also selected an organization as my subject and very much appreciate the clarity of your outline for the Washington Conservation Guild. It will be easy for users to find the information they need on the page and/or via the resources and links for additional information you will provide. I also appreciate that the WCG provides services that will benefit private collections as well as public institutions. One of the aspects of our choice of an organization for our outlines that concerned me was how much time-sensitive information should be included. For example, I noticed you included a section for events and activities, which are an important part of WCG’s mission to be a forum for learning. Likewise the organization I selected has events and more than a dozen ongoing conservation projects. My concern is that such information may need to be updated periodically and whether or not there needs to be a procedure in place and a resource identified for updating the page as needed. I volunteered to do a page for the Friends of the Uffizi Gallery, but I’m thinking I may have also volunteered to keep it updated as news, events and conservation projects change! Great work, Sarah! Article Review

[edit]

Hi Sarah, I decided to review your article since we are both completing articles on organizations (and I'm a member of WCG)! Your outline looks really great so far and includes all of the important points for disseminating information about WCG. One thing that I would include in your outline is a "See also" section. I ended up putting it in my article to include links to other Wikipedia pages on conservation. This way, people can easily explore other topics on conservation. Also, is the "Member Organizations" a place to include notable members of WCG? If so, I think that is a great idea to include to give readers a sense of what well-known institutions are involved in the guild. Under your "Events & Activities" section, I would include notable meetings held annual, such as our "3-Ring Circus" held in January. I don't see any resources listed on your outline yet, although you may be having problems finding sources other than the WCG website. All in all, it's a great start and I'm excited to see what you come up with! Areppertgerber (talk) 23:14, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
