contested

[edit]

I was notified of a speedy deletion notification and directed to come to the page to press a button, in order to contest it. There was no such button. Deletion nominator, how about you just remove your speedy deletion nomination unless or until you have the right template corresponding to the right message.

Also, the deletion nominator presumably read the edit summary which explains that the intended-to-be-bluelink Denver item will soon in fact be blue, not a redlink.

It is ridiculous to assert that the Detroit one is the only one. There probably are more (notable) ones in other cities. Deletion nominator, how about you go ahead and find some, and add them appropriately to this page.

If this goes further, I can add mention of the Denver item to an already-existing article where its mention is less appropriate. Gimme a break, just let this go for a few days or however long it takes. --Doncram (talk) 23:00, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CSD tag removal (EC)

@Doncram: Hello, unless you are currently working on an article for Board of Water Commissioners Building and/or Civic Center Historic District (Denver, Colorado), there shouldn't be a disambiguation page for this as they need to list at least two existing Wikipedia articles. Yes, I am doing that, as indicated in an edit summary originally. This is just interrupting me. --Doncram (talk) 23:03, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Doncram: It's usually better to create the articles before the disambiguation page so that situations like this don't occur. Waddles 🗩 🖉 23:11, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
FYI there exist Rand Water Board Building and Sydney Water Head Office, and I am sure that one both one or both are also known as "Water Board Building". --Doncram (talk) 23:48, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Doncram a disambiguation page is where there are multiple articles with the same name. Until you have created the respective articles it is too premature to create a disambiguation page to a series or redlinks. The Sydney Water Head Office is not known as the Water Board Building. User:Dan arndt, it's funny you say that, in contradiction to what its article states. I fix omitted "or" in my previous comment, above, in this edit. --Doncram (talk) 23:56, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
