Boundaries[edit]

A section of the article previously discussed "boundary issues" apparently caused by part of the village being on the east side of the river. The use of phrases like "Waterfoot remains a split village" suggest something akin to the Berlin Wall. A look at the map shows there are actually only a couple of properties straying onto the South Lanarkshire side. As no citations are given to support the controversy this has supposedly generated, and as the discussion of Busby is only marginally relevant, I think the whole section over-egged a very small pudding. As as result, I think it was appropriate to remove it. Jellyman (talk) 14:51, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Boundaries again[edit]

Further to the above... I have now decided to remove claims of Waterfoot being partly in South Lanarkshire from the article. The census locality, as can be seen by searching Waterfoot on the Scotland's Census website, doesn't extend over the river to include the stray couple of properties there, so Waterfoot is officially defined as being wholly within East Renfrewshire. Unless a reliable source can be found stating any of Waterfoot is in South Lanarkshire, it shouldn't be re-added. Jellyman (talk) 09:01, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
