Two years certificate course in Surveying was stopped in 1988 , in place Diploma in Survey Engineering (DSE )was started from 1988. The first batch of DSE came out in 1991. This course is the brainchild of Dr. Pradip K Roy , then associate professor of Civil Engineering Bengal Engineering College , Shibpur , Howrah.
