Alaska is not tied to the Western Interconnection. I will be working on updating some of the pages in this subject matter and will eventually change this reference. In addition, there is technically a fourth Interconnection (Quebec)... although it commonly is considered a part of the Eastern Interconnection.

This article states there are six. There are now more than six.

Nameplate Generation Capacity

The article sais "[...] 276 GW in 2019". I don't see where this number is taken from. Especially reference 5 states otherwise (265 GW in 2015), and makes no statements for the year 2019.
