I shall be reviewing this article against the Good Article criteria, following its nomination for Good Article status.

Linkrot: Repaired three and tagged three dead links.[2] Jezhotwells (talk) 15:31, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Checking against GA criteria
[edit]- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- In the lead: During high school, he joined the Bohemian Fiddlers after his sister married Bud Fletcher Sorry I don't see the connection here?
- In 1973, after signing with Atlantic Records, Nelson in coursed into Outlaw country, "in coursed"?
- He's the president, co-founder and active contributor of Farm Aid by performances in several benefit concerts. This is very poor prose.
- The Nelson family migrated from Arkansas to Abbott, Texas in 1929 as a consequence to the great depression after their lands could no longer grow cash crops. "as a consequence to"?
- and during the summer, as most of the inhabitants of Abbott, the family turned during seasons into cotton picking. ???
- OK, enough. This article needs fully copy-editing before it is worthy of review. I shall place on hold for seven days and if the copy-edit has not been achieved in that time, it will fail this nomination. It should never have been nominated in this shabby state. Please read the WP:GACR and make sure that the article fully complies before nomination.
- Whilst some of the above problems have been fixed we still have passages such as His sister married at that time Bud Fletcher, a local musician who invited Nelson to join his band, The Bohemian Fiddlers that was constituted by Ira Nelson in the rhythm guitar and fiddle, Bobbie Nelson in the piano, Whistle Watson in the drums, Joe Andrews in the bass and Willie Nelson in the guitar and leading voice. Although that it was Bud Fletcher's band he had almost no musical participation, limited to basic tunes on piano or bass and directing the band, mostly booking them to play in different places. that are excruciatingly bad prose. i cannot pass this as a GA in this condition. Please enlist aid from the WP:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors. Jezhotwells (talk) 16:21, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]I took care of the sentences you pointed out and others as well that I have found. All the dead links were repaired and with a quick check of Disambig links I haven't found any. After a revision I think its good enough but let me know if you find a phrase improperly written or something like that and I will correct it as soon as possible. --Gduwen (talk) 18:54, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
