Rename article "Winston-Salem Northern Beltway"[edit]

I think the article should be renamed to Winston-Salem Northern Beltway. The northern section is the only one that NCDOT has indicated as proposed, and it is referred to almost exclusively as "Northern Beltway" by NCDOT and the media. The southern section is only indicated on long-range planning documents by the city of Winston-Salem and is not an active project by NCDOT. In addition to renaming, the information about the southern section of the beltway should be relegated to a "Future" article section. Does anyone have any objections? Add Future I-74 and I-274 highway shields to the infobox[edit]

I was wondering if there would be any use to adding the two shields to the infobox as the two component highways are only temporary and will likely be removed when the sections are officially designated. DiscoA340 (talk) 09:50, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Eventually the state highway signs should be replaced by the interstate signs, when it becomes official. The infobox should be showing what is present, not what is to come unless the roadway in question has not been constructed yet. At this time of writing, NC 74 exists on the ground and NC 452 was officially designated to the future western section back in 1999. --WashuOtaku (talk) 12:26, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NC 74 from US 311 to US 52 complete?[edit]

According to Google Maps, North Carolina Highway 74 is open to traffic from US 311 to US 52. Is this accurate and sourced? I see nothing published by NCDOT. I suspect misinformation on Google's end. If it is open, will anyone update the map? Jlam Roadgeek 04:28, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Google Maps is wrong. On November 7, 2022, the next section of NC 74 will open between US 311 and NC 66, here's an article about it. They estimate US 52 interchange will open in Summer 2023. --WashuOtaku (talk) 12:02, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
