Cleanup[edit]

In these edits I made a number of changes. I flagged the cast section for cleanup because it does not presently conform to WP:TVCAST. Some silent IP editors seem intent upon adding a "Former cast" section to the cast, yet this is not a valid subsection. "Former" doesn't tell us anything about whether or not the cast member was part of the Main or Recurring cast, which is something we absolutely want to know. Per WP:TVCAST:

It may be appropriate to split up the cast listing by "Main characters" and "Recurring characters" ... The cast listing should be organized according to the series original broadcast credits, with new cast members being added to the end of the list.[n 1] Articles should reflect the entire history of a series, and as such actors remain on the list even after their departure from the series. ... If an actor misses an episode due to a real world occurrence, such as an injury that prevents them from appearing, this info can be noted in the character's description or "Production" section with a reliable source. New casting information for forthcoming recurring or guest characters should be added to the bottom of the list, with their position readjusted if necessary based the defined method above.

So fairly clearly, if a cast member leaves the series, that should be presented in the character description. In the edits above I also removed the parentheticals indicating who was a protagonist or antagonist. These are interpretive labels and constitute WP:OR. Per WP:ANTAGONIST, which is widely observed by WikiProject Television, it should be clear from well-written character descriptions what role each character plays. We don't have to tell people that Darth Vader is an antagonist, it's easily inferred from the prose content that describes his behavior and activity. Editor at IP 122.161.237.108: Re: your recent edits like these, I'm curious if you have ever seen a quality TV character list. Please see List of Millennium characters#Main characters. That is what a quality cast/characters list should look like. You seem more concerned with jamming words into parentheses like "(Hema and Pyaare's daughter)" instead of using proper English prose and normal punctuation to deliver the information. Note that there is no "(Main female lead)" parenthetical at List of Millennium characters#Main characters. That's because it should be clear from well-written prose who the various leads are. Typically anyone in the Main cast section would be considered a lead anyway. Why are you editorializing? And do Indian readers have difficulty figuring out who the males and females are? Why are you going out of your way to point this out? It's amateurish. I previously fixed it, but you've restored it with no justification. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:32, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sir i've removed all the things you've complained of. The only reason i added who the male lead was because the actor played a role of twins and one was a minor character. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.161.237.108 (talk) 19:45, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
