Separate life page

Is there a reason that this was moved out of Sergei Rachmaninoff? I can't think of another Wikipedia article about a notable individual with a separate biography page. Grover cleveland (talk) 02:23, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

It's a WIP, and this page should eventually have a detailed article exclusively on the history of the individual. Most of this information is too specialized to have on the general page, because the end result would be far too long to include in the overview article. Ludwig van Beethoven has a separate biography at Life and work of Ludwig van Beethoven and a very brief one on the main page. I was thinking about creating some other ancillary articles, especially outlining the drama with him and the recording studios, but stop me now if this work is in vain. Performer of the works of others

In the "Adulthood" section, it says:

• While still in Russia, he had had about ten pieces in his piano repertoire (that is, of other composers; in Russia he mostly performed his own compositions).

It’s always been the received wisdom that he never performed any piano works by other composers until the memorial service after Scriabin’s death in 1915. This says It was the first time he ever played music other than his own in public. So, these 10 pieces must have been added to his repertoire only between May 1915 and when he left Russia in November 1917. Do we know what the 10 pieces were? Also, I think it's worth mentioning that he held Scriabin in such high esteem as to make him the very first composer other than himself whose piano works he played in public, and when he was already 42 years old and had been a public performer for over 20 years.
