Telugu version

[edit]

@Jayanthkumar123: Yuvarathnaa has apparently completed filming in October 2020 but TOI was still speculating whether it would be dubbed in other languages. If the film is shot in Telugu as well, the decision should have been taken much earlier but only in November 2020, it was announced that the film will be "released" in Telugu. In addition, Indian Express and Sakshi explicitly call the Telugu version "dubbed." In this situation, I think we need more evidence to confirm that the film is "shot" in Telugu.

If anyone can get hold of Telugu version's CBFC certificate, it should settle the issue. SP013, thoughts? -- Ab207 (talk) 15:12, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Given there are no objections, I'm marking the Telugu version as dubbed due to aforementioned reasons. Thank you -- Ab207 (talk) 06:02, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ab207, I saw the film actually in Kannada but I have not seen it in Telugu since in the US they carry the Kannada version only so the only real confirmation we can get is when the film releases on Prime Video (I have seen reports say that June is when it comes out) and I also searched for the movie on the CBFC website but it failed to show up as they carry the films that were released up until March 1st 2021. @SP013: Oh, I see. With the current sourcing, we cannot conclusively say that the film is shot in Telugu. We may review the situation if the CBFC certificate says otherwise. -- Ab207 (talk) 15:02, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ab207, Yeah, and also out of the songs, teasers, and trailers that were released the only part that indicated that the film was "shot" in Telugu was the Power of Youth song. The Power of Youth lyrical song had two separately filmed versions for Kannada and Telugu. Other than that slight hints in the Ooriokka Raja/Oorigobba Raja indicated that it was shot in both languages but no apparent conclusion. Except for both of those, there were 0 indications that it was shot in both languages. SP013 (talk) 15:07, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SP013: It's possible that they re-shot a few sequences to match the lyrics. K.G.F: Chapter 1 has a different version of song in Hindi yet its still considered a dubbed version. -- Ab207 (talk) 15:20, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ab207, So I just saw Prime Video’s post that they are releasing Yuvarathnaa on April 9th and I have seen that they will also release the Telugu version so we can check the CBFC certificate. SP013 (talk) 12:28, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SP013: Sounds good. -- Ab207 (talk) 12:33, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, CBFC certicate says the Telugu version is dubbed. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:53, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
