Heavily single source dependent
[edit]This article is heavily based on a German Zen teacher's temple website. We need more authoritative sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.15.37.241 (talk) 18:26, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- If you've got more, that would be very welcome. Unfortunately, there seems to be very little interest in the west in the institutional aspects of Zen. Joshua Jonathan (talk) 08:21, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
It's true that replacing the web site info would be great, but in the absence of the time/expertise to do that the current material really should be removed. Wikipedia -- a website -- simply pointing to someone else's website, isn't nearly authoritative enough. Also, the current material gives a false sense of security that a lot has been said in this area. To the extent that the quoted sources are not reliable, or rather are not *knowably* reliable, then a lot has not been said. Removing the material in question would then leave obvious the fact that work needs done. I propose a lot of pruning, even if we don't currently have replacement sources. 70.114.180.201 (talk) 04:31, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
- The info is sourced, it's from a reliable source - Muho leads a Soto-monastery, and is a well-known teacher. If you think a lot of work needs to be done, you can add a template to the article, but simply removing sourced content, and orphanising other info based on the same source, won't do. Besides, Muho's website is not the only source to the article. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 05:13, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
