Notes

[edit]

I mentioned some facts that seems interesting in the notes to this article. Still, they are borderline trivia, and they are only verifiable against the primary source, which is generally bad practice. In case of any concerns feel free to remove them together with the source they are based upon. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 16:38, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

typo: "searchabe"

"The end user–searchabe database includes..." 69.126.155.111 (talk) 23:40, 4 December 2012 (UTC)It should be "searchable", I assume.[reply]

Fees

[edit]

ZocDoc charges doctors $300/month ($3600/year) to be listed on ZocDoc. Therefore, ZocDoc does not list doctors that are closer to you (f they don't pay ZocDoc). Also, ZocDoc only publishes positive reviews its listed doctors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.184.19.142 (talk) 16:56, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Privacy

[edit]

The HIPAA omnibus authorization required that agencies receive permission from individuals prior to using their PHI for anything other than health care. Use of the ZocDoc service requires acceptance of their HIPAA and Privacy policies, which includes an agreement that ZocDoc can disclose your PHI to "... organizations that collect, aggregate and organize your information so they can make it more easily accessible to your providers," among other releases. Thier privacy statement also absolves the website of any "doctor/patient relationship" legalities, meaning your communication through the site with a health care provider is not protected information. 24.129.89.8 (talk) 23:11, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Review websites

[edit]

Does this belong in Category Review websites (didn't link since didn't know how to link to a Category without merely causing the article inclusion)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Richardc020 (talkcontribs) 17:24, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Zocdoc"

[edit]

Am curious, where did the name come from?

When the first commercials appeared on TV, I thought it was a document organizer & retrieval service.

Just sayin'. 2600:8800:204:C400:3D69:366E:6EA6:C6B3 (talk) 19:53, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
