Tambangan is one of 29 barangays or villages in the municipality of San Jose, Camarines Sur in the Philippines. [1]

Geography and demographics

Barangay Tambangan is classified as a rural place. It is generally described as plain. It is bounded to the north by Danlog and Kinalansan, south by Calalahan, east by Manzana and Telegrafo, and in the west by Danlog and Pugay. Its major source of livelihood is agriculture (farming). It has a total population of 1,739, with 334 households, and 360 families.

Government

Elected barangay officials are as follows: Jose R. Rosete- Punong Barangay and the barangay councilors are: Henry R. Del Castillo, Bernie DC. Agravante, Joseph C. Del Socorro, Nora V. Peña, Eva C. Capuz, Antonio C. Salvador, and Fe V. Prado. The appointed barangay secretary and treasurer are: Rechie P. Miraña and Gualberto R. Capuz, respectively.
