Tandberg Movi is a SIP-based videoconferencing software client, developed by the Norwegian company Tandberg.

Movi is targeted at the enterprise market, and must be used in conjunction with a Tandberg Video Communication Server. The software is often paired with a Tandberg PrecisionHD USB camera, as Movi is capable of delivering video at 720p and 30 fps.[1]

Audio and video support

Movi supports H.264, H.263 and H.263+ for video and 20 kHz MPEG4 AAC-LD for audio, as well as AES for encryption.

Editions

The first version of Movi was released in May 2007. Movi 1.0 was written as a light-weight ActiveX component that was initiated through a client-initiated HTTP connection to a Movi server.[2] Movi was later redesigned as a standalone application, and Movi 2, released in April 2009, featured a new provisioning solution. The current version is Movi 4.2, released April 19, 2011.[3]
