Tatiana Issa (born January 16, 1974 in São Paulo, Brazil) is an award-winning Brazilianactress and director. She was the co-founder of TRIA Productions as well as Producing Partners, a development and production company resulting from the association of two established New York-based production companies, Producing Partners,[1] and TRIA Productions.[2]
Background
Issa was born in São Paulo, Brazil on 16 January 1974. Her father was a set designer called Americo Issa and she began acting at the age of 7, doing several professional plays and international theater festivals. At age 12, she began acting in motion pictures and later attended the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. In 2009 she produced and directed the film Dzi Croquettes,[3] for which she received more than 25 international awards, making it the most awarded documentary in Brazilian history. Tatiana Issa is currently the Director and Executive Producer of the weekly television series Além da Conta/Shopping Frenzy, with Ingrid Guimarães GNT/Globosat Network,[4][5]Musical Almanac, with Marisa Orth at Canal Brasil/Globosat Network,[6]Nelson 70 celebrating acclaimed songwriter and author Nelson Motta,[7]Gaby Gringa,[8][9] at BIS Network, Anota Aí/Take Note at Multishow Network,[10]Dançando na Broadway/Broadway Dreams,[11][12] and Mundo em Movimento/Dances of the World,[13][14] both also at Multishow Network. Issa is also the executive Producer of the series Beyond Ipanema[15][16] at Canal Brasil Network, now in its second season.
