From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

For use on pages with results of curling games. This template is used exclusively for those curling games that are scheduled to be played for 8 ends.

A blank template, for easy copy-and-paste:

{{ Curlingbox8
| sheet =
| team1 =
||||||||| |
| team2 =
||||||||| |
}}

The parameters include:

  • sheet: the name of the sheet
  • teamX: the name of the skip; alternatively, the name of the team with the skip in parentheses. Note that the team with the hammer in the first end should be denoted with the template {{X}}.
  • The end-by-end scores for each team should go on the lines below the team; the final score goes at the end of the line below the team.
    • Leave the 9th end blank unless it is actually played; note that the final input is for the final score.
    • If a match is played fewer than 8 ends, mark any conceded ends with an X or x.

Examples

[edit]

From the 2011 GP Car and Home Players' Championship men's final.

| team1 = {{flag icon|AB}} [[Kevin Martin (curler)|Kevin Martin]] {{X}}
|0|1|0|3|1|1|0|X| |6
| team2 = {{flag icon|SWE}} [[Niklas Edin]]
|1|0|1|0|0|0|1|X| |3
}}

Alberta Kevin Martin (has hammer) 0 1 0 3 1 1 0 X 6
Sweden Niklas Edin 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 X 3

  • the hammer is placed for the team with the last stone in the first end.
  • the 8th end was conceded, shown by the "X".
