Purpose
[edit]This template is used to simplify the entry of items into lists of National Monuments in the Republic of Ireland. This template produces correctly-formatted data to make a row of a table.
The lists are categorised in Category:Lists of national monuments (Ireland)

Parameters
[edit]- number
- The number allocated to this particular monument in the List of National Monuments published by the National Monuments Service
- name
- The name of the national monument. It should be linked, even if the title is currently a redlink
- description
- A brief description of the monument, from the List of National Monuments. (This may just be one word such as "cashel", or "castle")
- image
- The filename of an image of the National Monument. Do not link it; the template will use the bare filename to create a thumbnail of the appropriate size
- townland
- The townland in which this National Monument is located. It should be linked
- county
- The county in which this National Monument is located. It should not be linked, and the word "county" should be omitted: e.g. enter "Cork", rather than "County Cork". Note that the county should not be omitted; an error message will be generated if it is not present.
- region-iso
- The ISO_3166-2-Countycode as found here.
- lat
- The latitude of the National Monument
- lon
- The longitude of the National Monument
- coord_name
- The name that appears for each coordinate in the grouped list when viewing in external mapping services
