Lötschberg railway line

The Lötschberg railway line is a major railway through the Swiss Alps, which connects Spiez in the Bernese Oberland with Brig in the Valais. The railway, opened on 15 July 1913, reaches a maximum height of 1,240 m (4,068 ft) above sea level.
