Notes on colours and patterns

[edit]

There is substantial variation in the colours and patterns used for each College in the reference images. The colours chosen in these templates are an attempt to find a balance between selecting the most commonly-used colours (to accurately represent the College), being consistent (e.g. using the same shade of navy throughout), selecting colours which ensure all scarfs are unique, and selecting colours that display well. Where there are differences in the patterns (i.e. spacing and width of stripes), the most distinctive/unique pattern is chosen to provide maximum visual difference between Colleges.
