But why?
[edit]Inferring meaning, tone and intent of a textual message over the internet can be difficult at times, especially in heated situations or when the wording could easily mean many things.
Some contributors can find this inference especially difficult (such as our many neurodivergent editors) - the use of indicators to explicitly state your tone is one thing you can do to help everyone out in certain circumstances.
More information can be found in the article on tone indicators, and at www.toneindicators.carrd.co.
