This template displays formatted text with an appropriate link for A and B roads and Motorways in the United Kingdom.

Usage

Adding |N or |NI as the optional second parameter will change the location from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.

The default height for the icon is 12 pixels, but this can be changed by specifying a different value for the |height= parameter:

• {{UK road|A3(M)|height=5}} →  A3(M) 
• {{UK road|A3(M)|height=15}} →  A3(M) 
• {{UK road|A3(M)|height=50}} →  A3(M)
