Usage

[edit]

To use this template, add {{subst:Userfied-welcome|art=original page name|reason=}} to the user's talk page. The first two parameters should always be used (see below).

Please refer to the index of test templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.

Parameters

[edit]
  • |art= – The previous location of the article; that is, the plain article name. Should always be included. {{subst:Userfied-welcome|art=Example}}
  • |reason= – The specific reason for userfication; this is where you should let the user know exactly what policy or guideline their article violates (e.g. "Specifically, the article fails to meet WP:GNG", etc.) Should be included. {{subst:Userfied-welcome|reason=}}
  • |altuser= – Your name (only use if different from your signature, which is automatically applied in the template): {{subst:Userfied-welcome|altuser=Example}}
  • |more= – Additional comments, inserted between the Again, welcome! and your signature. {{subst:Userfied-welcome|more=}}
  • |newart= – The location of the userfied article, if different from User:username/{{{art}}}
