Why are old forecasts being removed?

[edit]

Title. Opinion polling is continuous, over a long span of time, why should old forecasts be removed when new ones are added? – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 04:48, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The page Opinion polling for the next New Zealand general election has what you want. This page is for the latest poll from each company with predictions on the result, and it is included in both the above Opinion polling... page, and Next New Zealand general election There's no point in trying to turn it into a clone of the other page.-Gadfium (talk) 05:15, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why specifically is it only for the latest polls though? It seems like there's a lot of useful information in past projections and especially with past "likely government formations", like is used in Opinion polling for the next Danish general election, Opinion polling for the 2024 French legislative election, and to a lesser extent, Opinion polling for the 2026 Swedish general election. Just seeing raw percentage numbers doesn't give people as good of an idea for how the government will form as actual seat projection numbers, does there have to be only the latest polls here? – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 05:20, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
