When this warning is used on userpages with lots of other vandalism warnings (as is, unfortunately, all too common), the section headers disrupt the page and make it very hard for subsequent admins to scan the user's page to see if a block is yet warrented (and if so, for how long the vandal should be blocked). Several of the other vandalism warnings have recently been restructured to remove the section headers. Thanks. Rossami (talk) 18:45, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

maybe a different name?[edit]

This drops its name in an html comment when I use {{subst:AntiVandal|Dna baser|uw-copyright|3=url=http://www.dnabaser.com/home.html}} ~~~~ ... but not everyone making a copyright violation is a "vandal". Along the lines of Wikipedia:Avoid the word "vandal", maybe this template could be renamed to something less provocative. ··coelacan 07:53, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The name "AntiVandal" does not appear to the user to whom the message is addressed. While the template was designed to deter vandalism -- hence the name -- it can be used for other user warnings, from copyright violations to jokes. I don't think it's important to change the name. -- Rob C. alias Alarob 06:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I briefly messed up the <noinclude> elements while editing and rearranging parts of the page today. Hope no one was inconvenienced. -- Rob C. alias Alarob 06:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template is broken[edit]

I've fallen out of the habit of using AntiVandal. On trying it out today, I got the "See also" items at the bottom of the page, which are supposed to be excluded. The last edit was in summer 2012. Is this a dead template? — ℜob C. alias ÀLAROB 06:48, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

Template does not seem to add an actual Article Name when one is inserted into the template. DonFB (talk) 02:17, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
