New URL format?

Doesn't seem like the old CiteSeer^x: 10.1.1.65.4065 format works any more. There is a new hexadecimal format like 777b3ecbd3a292085d46ca066ab50409752ab7a1 that doesn't work with the template.  — Chris Capoccia 💬 18:13, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

New PID format

Very confused about how to edit the documentation for this template, but I did add capability to use the new PID format URL using |type=pid such as {{CiteSeerX|777b3ecbd3a292085d46ca066ab50409752ab7a1|type=pid}} rendering as CiteSeer^x: 777b3ecbd3a292085d46ca066ab50409752ab7a1   — Chris Capoccia 💬 17:21, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
