Adjust width

[edit]

At the moment, the Ohio flag is rendered at default at 23 pixels wide. While this is good for quadrilateral flags with 1-pixel wide borders, the Ohio flag is rendered without a pixel border and is not quadrilateral. This results in disalignment when rendered with other quadrilateral flagicons. Therefore, please edit the template so the Ohio flag is rendered at 25 pixels wide, rather than 23, to compensate for this. I'd do it myself, but unfortunately, it is locked. Thank you. Following the discussion at Template talk:Country data Poland, a discussion was started at WT:WPFT to automatically enlarge the default width for flagicons without border in the flag templates themselves. If that's not going to happen, the default size can be changed in this template using |size={{{size|25px}}}. SiBr4 (talk) 07:27, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The changes made at Template:Country data Poland following the discussion at its talk page are basically adding something equivalent to |size={{{size|25px}}} using {{#if}}, with a {{#switch}} added to change the default size for certain flag variants only. Essentially, the only other things discussed at Template talk:Country data Poland were a now-solved bug in {{navy}} and the mentioned automatic change of default size for borderless flags in the core templates (the latter of which is better discussed at WT:WPFT than either there or here). • The changes I proposed for navy/core could be adapted and added to all of the flag core templates, and would fix problems such as this. I am willing to make those changes, but am awaiting broader consensus at Country data Poland and WPFT. LittleMountain5 17:12, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done I've applied the |size={{{size|25px}}} hack for now, but I'm wondering with all of the multiple sub and meta templates for flags, perhaps this whole system would be best realized by a conversion to Lua. Just food for thought, and I certainly don't have the Lua experience to do it myself at this point. Anyway, happy editing! — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 17:44, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
