I want a message displayed that editing in AmE is encouraged, like it is done here: Template:Editnotices/Page/Metalloid (would require changing "Australian English" and Australian flag to "American English" and U.S. flag). Note similar template at Talk:Fluorine, which was added a few years ago and raised no debates since.--R8R (talk) 11:17, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- Template:Editnotices/Page/Metalloid has a customised instance of
{{English variant notice}}
, but could have used{{Australian English}}
. The message at Talk:Fluorine is not an editnotice, but a simple addition of{{American English}}
to the talk page. I note that the article itself does not bear any indication of language variant, such as{{Use American English}}
. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:37, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
