Order?

[edit]

Why are the consorts in reverse chronological order?

Starting point

[edit]

Template: English, Scottish and British monarchs starts with Æthelstan. For consistency, should this page start with his sister-in-law (and the wife of his successor) Ælfgifu of Shaftesbury? Alekksandr (talk) 20:17, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Spouses of debatable or disputed rulers

[edit]

Empress Matilda, Henry the Young King and Lady Jane Grey appear in italics in Template:English, Scottish and British monarchs. For consistency, I have added their spouses in the same format here. Alekksandr (talk) 23:04, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Philip of Spain
