Corresponding edit notice for other changes?
[edit]Is there a corresponding edit notice to avoid YYYY-MM-DD and instead use d Mmmmm YYYY? Jc3s5h (talk) 14:12, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- No, but that's a good idea. Do you want to make it?—Markles 14:37, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- I see that edit notices can only be added to articles by administrators and account creators. Since I am neither, I will leave it to that crowd to create the additional edit notice, if they want to. I'm thinking, however, that there would be a much greater tendency for editors to add dates in the d Mmmmm YYYY format to an article that uses the Mmmmm d, YYYY format than to add dates in the YYYY-MM-DD format, so I would think this edit notice would apply to a rather narrow range of articles. I also notice that some tools, such as RefTools, use the YYYY-MM-DD format for the accessdate in templates, so users of those tools would have a hard time complying with the edit notice.
