User unified login vs SUL Box

[edit]

Can someone advice what template is preferable to use Template:User unified login or Template:SUL Box? --Wallach2008 (talk) 19:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They don't have the same fonction. SUL Box give a link to your main account User unified login don't. Otourly (talk) 13:23, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New optional parameter replacing "their" please?

[edit]

Thanks for providing this box. I'd like to replace "their" with "the", and I think some user would like to use "his" or "her". While I'm at it, I think the ability to replace "This user" with the username would be nice. Regards, Paradoctor (talk) 21:01, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image display

[edit]

What if the image shown is changed (or placed in a variation of this userbox instead) using this one? Is it a good idea? - Damërung ...ÏìíÏ..._ΞΞΞ_ . --  03:47, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(file:Wikimedia logo family.svg, 40px) - lovely image, I guess it could fit somehow... Yuval Y § Chat § 08:44, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Colon missing?

[edit]

Hi, the template seems to have a glitch currently. On my user page the text inside the box is displayed as:

"... on [[de:User:xxx|Wikipedia (German)]]"

... instead of:

"is on Wikipedia (de)"

Can a kind soul please fix it? Probably just a colon in the output right after the first two opening square brackets is missing. Thanks. --Iotatau (talk) 22:52, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strange, I've tested the infobox with ge (georgian): same result, but nl (dutch) does give the right output. Jarkeld (talk) 01:47, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I also noticed the error on my user page, but also founf that it is language dependent. Can somone experienced have a look at the source code? The colon is there, but I don't unterstand, for example, the sense of the entire <!-- --> constructions, imho they are not required within the switch structure. --Bjs (talk) 08:39, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think I found the error. It is not in this template itself, but in the language icon template included here. Therefore, it is language dependent. In the languages in which the templated didn't work (e.g. de, tr, ka), there was a category included in the include-section itself which of course is fatal if the template is used with in a link as in the present case. --Bjs (talk) 09:11, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't work for Russian. But Template:Ru icon is protected and I can't apply a patch from above. — andrybak (talk) 20:31, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
