Neither Fish nor Fowl

[edit]

I've moved this template to West Midlands Lines as large amounts of the lines shown are not in Birmingham, but in the wider West Midlands conubation. As various lines and connections were shown in the Black Country, I've added some of the missing ones.

However, on doing this I've noticed that to add the rest of the missing (open) Black Country network, the template is going to become hideously complex. There are, as I see it, two choices.

Firstly, to add the remaining stations and lines (such as those on the Chase Line and the Worcester Line) to make the template complete.

Secondly, to move the template back to Birmingham Lines and simply show those lines and stations within the city boundaries, plus those on the edge such as the two Smethwick stations in order to show the lines heading out of Birmingham in a sensible fashion.

Either way, the current status quo with the template being neither Birmingham-only (where sensible) or WM conurbation wide is untenable.

I'm leaning towards the second approach. What do others think? Fingerpuppet (talk) 12:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What we should do is keep a basic overall map (with no closed lines) and detailed maps for each part of the city. Anywikiuser (talk) 16:13, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
