While the exact details of this project banner haven't been discussed, I have seen discussion that expressed people wanted to change it or at least parts of it. Also, the format of having a to do list under a [show]/[hide] tab is very common. I don't understand why you are opposed to the new version. Unless you actually have a reason, other than ownership issues, then it should not be changed back to its old form. -- Ned Scott 23:25, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sir, you are not even part of the Wikiproject. Want to make decisions? Then join and bring it up on the talk page. Until then, stop changing it. To me, it appears that you have a controll issue. Please take it elsewhere. Thank you. Hezzy 05:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You are mistaken, listing one's self as a participant or member of a WikiProject is optional, all one has to do to be apart of a project is be involved with the topics on Wikipedia. Both Somerset and myself have found this to be a better replacement for the old banner. I don't understand what you object to in the new banner. The old image needs to be changed, which you even agree to. However, the image you used to replace it is a fair use image and can't be used in a template such as this. So all that's really been done is the text has been changed (which seems is something that doesn't bother you) and it now has the project's to do list, a common practice in WikiProject banners (see examples at Wikipedia:Template messages/Talk namespace#WikiProject notices).
So you have two editors (with valid, rational arguments) vs one, and the two editors are using a commonly accepted style of banner. You still haven't said what your objection is, other than someone other than yourself is editing the banner. -- Ned Scott 06:07, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To Hezzy: As previous editors have asked, please state your exact reasons for wanting to keep the old version instead of asking people to "make a guess". We are not omniscient, after all. :) It would be a Bad Thing for any administrator to have to take action over any edits to this template. I recommend that the icon for this template (currently "Ath") and Template:Wpa2 be Image:Hubble ultra deep field.jpg (pictured). I first saw the image in this context at User:DancingPenguin/Userbox/User_atheism3. — Elembis 04:42, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I respectfully disagree. The image in question is basically astronomical, and doesn't exactly convey atheism, just astronomy. I would suggest, just as possibilities, Image:Atom of Atheism-Zanaq.svg (which is found in the Atheism article, or maybe Image:Bright Logo.png, which is specifically only for the Brights movement, but is more recognizably tied to atheism.
