Tenzin is a Tibetan བསྟན་འཛིན given name, meaning "the holder of Buddha Dharma". Tenzin can alternatively be spelled as Tenzing and Stanzin as well. Stanzin is generally used by Ladakhi people, since Ladakhi language retained many archaic pronunciations which have been lost in modern Tibetan languages, in written Tibetan Tenzin is spelled as "bstanzin" but when it is spoken "s" is silent.[1][2] It may refer to any of the following people:
