The school now serves families from over forty different countries. The teachers are ninety per cent expatriate with passports including USA, UK, France, Canada and Australia.

Enrichment activities include the Global Citizen Award programme, International Award (Duke of Edinburgh Award), TRACKS-a dynamic service programme benefitting two schools for the deaf and two orphanages in Lomé. Tri Nations is held each year with school teams from Ghana competing with BSL and other Lomé schools in basketball, swimming, chess, volleyball and football. Enrichment activities include music and instrumental music lessons, visual arts and theatre productions, chess, debating, computer clubs, pottery and arts and crafts, TED Talks, creative writing and drama.
Many events that are organized by the students themselves between other schools around Togo as well as schools around [[West Africa]]. The school attends the [[Model United Nations]] (MUN) conferences held at different times of the year since 2006.
