The Force of Reason (Italian: La forza della ragione) is a 2004 book by Italian author Oriana Fallaci.[1] It focuses on criticism of Islam.[2]

The book was a bestseller[3] in Europe. A legal case was initiated against the author in Italy by Islamist Adel Smith on grounds that the book contained expressions that were "unequivocally offensive to Islam".[4][5]
