The Market Cart is a 1786 painting by Thomas Gainsborough, one of his final landscape paintings[1]. He first exhibited it at his own home in Pall Mall in 1786 and added a figure of a woodman gathering bundles of wood in 1787. It is now in the National Gallery, London, to which it was presented by the British Institution's governors in 1830.
