The Repair Shop is a British television series made by production company Ricochet that airs on BBC Two, in which family heirlooms are restored for their owners by experts.

Theme

Each episode follows craftspeople who restore three family heirlooms that have sentimental value for their owners.[1] The craftspeople are professionals from around the country. Heirlooms are found mostly through social media, and their owners are not charged for the restorations.[2]

Series

The first series had 15 30-minute episodes and first aired from March-April 2017, with an hour-long Christmas special in December. The second series also had 15 30-minute episodes, which first aired in March 2018, as well as 10 "45 min versions" episodes.[3] A third series of 15 45-minute episodes was aired in 2018.[4][5]

Filming

The programme is filmed at the Weald and Downland Living Museum, Singleton, West Sussex in a barn that is turned into a temporary "Repair Shop".[2]
